Day #-6: Gold Beach to Whaleshead Beach (20 mi)

Before getting on our bikes, we spent a moment enjoying the view from our lodging.

The electrical lines don’t really add much

Loaded up with food for the entire day, we set out and were quickly greeted by a significant climb. After conquering the hill, we spent the rest of the day in the Scenic Corridor.

The corridor did not disappoint! We’ll now bore you with numerous pictures.

Ocean on our right
Dense forest on our left
Arch Rock
Natural Bridges

Eventually, we crossed the highest bridge in the entire state of Oregon (eek!), the Thomas Creek Bridge.

The sun came out in the afternoon so we went for a walk on Whaleshead Beach.

Where the forest meets the ocean!
Glen climbed a rock
Can you find Glen?

Fortunately, we had purchased enough food to bring with us that we didn’t go hungry.

(Yesterday and today are missing the elevation graphs. Our technology is not cooperating.)
